Accessibility review

Find access barriers before your files go out

Public hospitals and state agencies face ADA Title II dates from April 2027. Many groups paid by HHS face §504 dates from May 2027. We check Word and HTML files against WCAG 2.1 AA. A trained reviewer decides on each finding. You keep a record of what was checked and fixed.

  • ADA Title II

  • Section 504

  1. Step 1: Check

Automated WCAG 2.1 AA checks flag likely barriers in Word or HTML.

  2. Step 2: Decide

A qualified reviewer confirms or dismisses each finding.

  3. Step 3: Fix

Fix headings, alt text, tables, contrast and links in the document.

  4. Step 4: Attest

The reviewer signs an evidence record; an HTML report is kept.

What each layer does

How they connect

Six layers, one way of working

Content moves from writing to checking to testing, and what you learn feeds the next draft. Your rules and your reviewers sit under every step. Training and the leadership program wrap around the work.

  1. Transform

Frames everything: leaders make clear communication how the whole organization works.

  2. Train

People build plain-language skills and practice teach-back.

  3. Create & Design

Write it at your target grade, from your sources. Then it goes to Optimize.

  4. Optimize

Score, revise and translate what you already have. Then test it in Strategize.

  5. Strategize

Test with simulated readers and plan the journey. What you learn feeds the next draft.

  6. Collaborate

Under all three: your rules reach every draft, and a named reviewer approves each change.

The map above shows the parts. This shows how they work together.

Create & Design

Write it and design it, in one place.

Start from your trusted sources, not a blank page. Write at the grade you choose, then turn the words into a page people can follow. A reviewer approves the text and every image.

From readable to measured

A readability score answers one question. Your content has to answer six.

Each rung asks more of a document, from whether people can read it to whether health or cost changed. The layers above carry it up the ladder, and each rung says who does the work. Transform makes the whole climb part of how your organization works.

Readability formulas answer only L1. HealthLiteracyCopilot works on L1–L2, tests at L3–L4, and helps you measure your own results at L5–L6.

The map shows the parts. The loop shows the flow.

Work moves around the loop: create or bring a document, assess and revise it, translate it, test it with simulated readers and plan the journey. What you learn feeds the next draft. Most teams start with documents they already have.

Step 1 of 6

Create & design

Write new content at a target grade, grounded in your trusted sources, in ten channel formats. Then lay it out in Design Studio with templates and healthcare images.

What you get
A cited draft at your target grade, laid out as a page
Synthetic example
Outline: "heart failure, going home" → a one-page sheet at grade 6, with 3 cited sources and 2 numbers to verify
Then Assess
Every draft goes to Assess. Already have the document? Skip this step and upload it there.
