How it works

  2. Check what we hid

    We replace names, numbers and other personal details with placeholders. You check the text and can hide more.

  3. Get your score and rewrite

    Your N-PLAT score, your top fixes, and a plain-language rewrite showing what changed and why. Download it as a Word file.

Limits and deletion

  • One free assessment per work email every 30 days, and up to three per organization.
  • English documents only for now: Word (.docx) or text-based PDF, up to 5 pages and 10 MB. Scanned pages and pictures are refused.
  • We delete your original file within an hour, the redacted and rewritten text after 24 hours, and these results after 30 days. You can delete everything now.
  • If a page looks like a document about a real person, we stop before the assessment and delete it.
  • The rewrite is a draft: check it before you use it. Your document is never added to a search index.

About the free assessment and rewrite

What do I get?

Your overall N-PLAT score and a score for each part of the standard, your top fixes, and a plain-language rewrite of the document showing each change and why it was made. You can download the rewrite as a Word file and print the results to PDF.

Can I use the rewrite as it is?

Treat it as a strong first draft. It is written from the redacted text, so placeholders like [NAME] stand for what we hid, and passages our safety checks flag are kept as written. Check it, and have the usual person approve it, before you send it.

What happens to my document?

We read it with the same engine our customers use, hide personal information we find before storing the text, and show you that text to check before anything is assessed. We delete the original within an hour, the redacted and rewritten text after 24 hours and the results after 30 days, or all of it at once when you ask.

Why do you need my work email?

We email you the link to your results, and it lets us keep the offer to one free assessment per person each month.

Which files can I upload?

A Word document (.docx) or a text-based PDF, such as one exported from Word or your editor. Scanned pages and documents with pictures, logos or charts are refused, because the free assessment reads text only. Either way, the rewrite comes back as a Word file you can edit.
