Your text is used only for this scan and isn't saved. Before measuring, we remove names, ID numbers, dates of birth and contact details we find. Automated removal can miss things, so a blank template or sample is best.

About the readiness scan

What does the readiness scan measure?

Reading difficulty. English text gets the Flesch-Kincaid and SMOG grades and the Flesch Reading Ease score. Spanish text gets a SOL grade estimate, the Fernández-Huerta and Szigriszt-Pazos ease scores and the INFLESZ band. It does not measure comprehension, accuracy or compliance.

Do you keep the text I paste?

No. We process it on our servers for this request only and do not persist it in application storage. Before measuring, we replace identifiers we find, such as member IDs and dates of birth, with placeholders. Use a blank template or a sample when you can.

Do I need to give my email to see results?

No. Every result is on the page as soon as the scan finishes, and you can download or print them from your browser.
