Annual review cost context Buyer estimate

Break-even: minutes per document that would need to change Illustrative
—

Fill in the three required inputs to see your estimate.

Your dollar estimates appear on this scale once every required number is in.

How this is calculated

  • Cost context = documents per year × reviewer hours per document × loaded rate
  • Break-even = annual program cost × 60 ÷ documents ÷ loaded rate (minutes per document, rounded up; hypothetical)
  • Example: 300 × 2 = 600 hours/year; 600 × $150 = $90,000/year

Source: your inputs. This is money at stake in your documents, not projected savings, and not all of it is attributable or recoverable. An evaluation must measure what actually changes.

How the estimate works

Enter numbers you already track. The calculator multiplies them and shows each step with your numbers. It is cost context for an evaluation, not a savings promise.

Numbers you enter

The formula is printed under the result. Your numbers stay in this tab.

  1. Documents per year

Lay summaries, patient information and other patient-facing pieces that go through review in a year.

  2. Reviewer hours per document

All review time on one document, across every round and every reviewer.

  3. Fully loaded cost per hour

Salary plus benefits and overhead, per hour. Finance often has a standard rate you can use.

  4. Annual program cost (optional)

Your quote. With it, the result shows how many minutes per document would need to change to break even.

Questions

Is this a savings estimate?

No. It is arithmetic on your own inputs: the effort and cost your documents take today. An evaluation measures which part of that effort can change, and whether it does.

Are my numbers sent anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. Your numbers are not sent to us, not saved, and not added to the page address.

How do I share my numbers?

Download the CSV or print the page, then send it yourself. "Copy a shareable resource link" copies the page address only, without your numbers.
