Fill in the eight required inputs to see your estimate.

Your dollar estimates appear on this scale once every required number is in.

How this is calculated

  • Editorial = handouts × review cycles × reviewer hours per cycle × loaded rate
  • Callbacks = discharges × post-discharge calls per discharge × share about the documents × cost per call
  • VBP at risk = base-operating DRG payments × 2% withhold × 25% patient-experience domain weight
  • HRRP = your current payment reduction × base-operating DRG payments
  • The VBP and HRRP lines show payments already exposed to those programs. They are context, not savings, and are never added to the other lines.
  • Example: 120 × 2 × 3 = 720 hours/year; 720 × $90 = $64,800/year

Source: your inputs. This is money at stake in your documents, not projected savings, and not all of it is attributable or recoverable. An evaluation must measure what actually changes.

How the estimate works

Enter numbers you already track. The calculator multiplies them and shows each step with your numbers. It is cost context for an evaluation, not a savings promise.

Numbers you enter

  • Discharge handouts in scope
  • Review cycles per handout a year
  • Reviewer hours per cycle
  • Fully loaded cost per hour
  • Discharges a year
  • Post-discharge calls per discharge
  • Share of those calls about the discharge documents
  • Cost per call
  • + 2 optional inputs

Questions

Is this a savings estimate?

No. It is arithmetic on your own inputs: the effort and cost your documents take today. An evaluation measures which part of that effort can change, and whether it does.

Are my numbers sent anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. Your numbers are not sent to us, not saved, and not added to the page address.

How do I share my numbers?

Download the CSV or print the page, then send it yourself. "Copy a shareable resource link" copies the page address only, without your numbers.
